Bedrest is not fun! I had a scare a week ago and had been on bedrest since. I had an abruption, basically the placenta was not fully attached to the uterus and causing some problems. I went to the doctor yesterday and got a very encouraging report. I also found out I can get off of bedrest. I still have to take things slow...very slow...but it is nice to get to move around a little.
Yesterday was the first day I have been able to move around. It took so much out of me I fell asleep around 8:30 or 9 pm. The downside to that is I woke up about 3 or 3:30 am and have a real hard time getting back to sleep.
My grandparents (dad's side) are coming down today to hang out...help out...and best of all bring spaghetti and meatballs. Ok, so that may not be the best part but it is the best part to my stomach. I love my grandma's spaghetti and meatballs. Before their arrival, I ran a quick (ha!)errand. Apparently, it was also the day the social security checks were mailed out because there were tons of old ladies out shopping. I almost started laughing out loud because we all were walking sooooo slooooowwww! We could have started our own tortoise race for the door. It humored me...but I don't think the old ladies would appreciate it! :)
I am going back to work tomorrow. Ryan's mom is on standby. She has been my sub for most of the bedrest. Ryan is going to come with me in the morning to get things set up...a stool for teaching...overhead so I don't have to use the board so much...etc. It should be good. I am ready to get back and see the kids. I am really excited (and Ryan is really worried). It is really going to wear me out the first few days back.
I do want to let everyone know...I am doing better...the baby is fine (and has been through all of this)...things are just going to be a little slower around our house for a few weeks!
